Ok! I have a recipe to share with you. Then some pictures (if they hurry & load). Cheesy Sausage Stromboli~ 1loaf- OR 2 loaf 21/2 - 5 cups flour 1 - 2 TBL sugar (white) 1 - 2 tsp salt 1 - 2 TBL yeast 3/4 - 11/2 cups warm water 1/4 - 1/2 cups warm milk 1 - 2 TBL margarine-melted 1 - 2 lbs. bulk pork sausage 2 - 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese 2 - 3 eggs 1/8 - 1/4 tsp dried basil Parmesan cheese, oregano, & garlic salt. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, & yeast. Add water, milk, & marg., beat on low until well combined, (I just mix it with a spoon- you can use a kitchen aid) Turn onto a well floured surface & knead till smooth & elastic- 6-8 min. Place in greased bowl & let rise till doubled- about an hour. Filling: cook sausage & drain, in bowl beat 2 eggs; add basil & cheese, then stir in sausage. divide dough in half (for 2 loaves only) roll into a rectangle, spread filling on half, fold and pinch edges. Cut 4 diagonal slits on top, beat reamaining egg & brush over loaves, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, oregano, & garlic salt ( or whatever seasning you like). Let rise till double (45 min) (I only do it 25 or so) Bake @ 350 for 20-25 min. or till brown. Slice & serve warm! This is very good. My 'hunny' loves it since he loves sausage. I also make this same thing but with sandwich meat, ham, turkey, & beef ( the thin stuff in a little pack- Budding-) You can do that alone or I do it with the sausage & meat together. Also sometimes I add a few slices of Amer.cheese. I don't layer it with the dough in the middle cause it is hard to get the middle done without burning the outside. It gets hard & crusty. If you have any ???'s please ask! Oh and make sure you mix egg with the cheese! It makes it soo good!
